It’s the start of a brand new season here in the IPFK League and boy have things changed. The addition of two new teams to the league was just the start of the many changes that came over the summer. Along with the new teams we saw co-owners added, team names and logos changed, more prize money dished out and that pesky waiver spot is so 2011. With less than 2 hours till the kickoff of the NFL season I thought I’d take the time to do a quick update/rundown of what we can expect this season. We all know Tajiri Pankcakeman signed a contract extension and is returning for another year of ground breaking interviews on You Heard it Here First. Rumor has it we could even see an interview this season from Pancakeman’s intern Piper Popawaffle but again, this is just the latest speculation on the IPRK rumor mill. Returning for another year of action is:(insert your own drum roll sound here) The Eggrollers, BooYeah, PyschoStick, Devil Dogs, Lost Below, P-Unit and Venoms Carnage. The artists formerly known as Underoath (SilverSand Sharks), Tical (Tical 2.0), The Vipers(Apex Predators), Kibbles and Vick (Denim Chicken) are back under new team names and logos. Last we have the addition of three new teams and owners, Buck Futters, Tap That, and Ball So Hard University or wait it’s Suh Girls One Cup? Oh wait; I was just informed that Justin has changed his name and logo again. So will he stick with The ConVicks or will he just continue to change his name weekly or whenever anyone decides to make fun of him? Can this 14 team league prove to be a success as League Manager Billy Harper has predicted or will we see devastating losses, 10 claims for the same player on the waiver, angry owners and heavy drinking or has building a solid team become a thing of the past? Some things are certain as the IPFK League kicks off this season; the smack talk, mom jokes and under the table trade offers will continue and it will all kick off tonight. Who will prevail, who will flop and take home the week 1 You Got Served award? Stay tuned, the next 14 weeks will be quite the ride!
