Are you kidding me? This was the only expression I could come up with at the end of the late game Sunday between the Packers and the Broncos during week 4 of Fantasy Football. Are you kidding me? I must have said it at least 5-10 times that night. I prepared for another win in week 4. While my opponent was stacked he did have Green Bay Quarterback Aaron Rogers. While Rogers is an outstanding QB, they did win the Super Bowl last year, the Packers have been running the ball a lot this season versus passing. Week 1 Rogers had 312 passing yard and 3 TD’s for 30 points, week 2, 302 yards, 2 TD’s for 25 points, week 3 he had 297 yards, 2 TD’s for 27 points and with Drew Brees getting me 30 points in the early game Sunday I was for sure our QB’s would wash each other out in points. Boy was I wrong. Wrong isn’t even the right word, sorely mistaken is more like it. In just 4 short quarters and 2 hours of football Rogers threw for a ridiculous 408 yards had 4 TD’s and racked up colossal 53 points. I haven’t seen this since last season when Michael Vick racked up 62 points during Monday Night Football during the last half of the season. I got clobbered, no question about it and since Rogers threw to Packers Wide Receiver Greg Jennings, who Tical owner Eric Salmon also has, for 103 yards and 1 TD for 23 points there was no coming back. All I had left going into Monday night was Indianapolis Colts Tight End Dallas Clark. If you know football this is not the year for the Colts now that future Hall of Fame QB Peyton Manning is out for the season. Needless to say I took the loss like a true lady, by not responding to anyone.
Week 5 is the start of the bye weeks. Everyone is scrambling to make those last-minute changes for players whose teams aren’t playing this week. Wednesday is always a busy day as it is the first chance you get to start dropping, adding and claiming players to fill your slots. Only on person on bye for me this week. Miami RB Reggie Bush who sits in my flex so he’s easy to replace. With that being said, week 5 should be a breeze. Going up against Psycho Stick owner Nick Wade is a no brainer, start Hernandez over Dallas Clark and stroll away with a win. I am really not a big cheese person and after the week I just had in the IPFK Fantasy Football league I am certainly not in the mood for it at all.
